Smallville

NOVEMBER 2021

“Smallville” is a show that I grew up with, running for ten seasons. The show featured Tom Welling as a young Clark Kent in high school, long before he put the tights and cape on. In October 2021, the show celebrated its twenty year anniversary and many artists in the community were making artwork to honor the show.

I wanted to treat this as more of a teaser poster for the whole series. The show was about the journey and trials Clark had to face in order to become the hero. I wanted to show his roots being on the farm, and then show him ripping his shirt open to reveal the famous “S.”
