Guardians of the Galaxy

“Guardians of the Galaxy” was Marvel Studio’s riskiest venture yet. They had to make a movie about a team the general audience doesn’t know about with no ties yet to the previously released movies. It’s a very retro themed movie with disco and 80s vibes. The poster needed to reflect that. Retro posters from the 80s have bright vibrant colors, often seen together in a gradient, so that was used as the background. Music was important in this movie, so I illustrated the cassette tape seen in it and had the heroes stand above it in a silhouette.
