Familiar Strangers

Hired by the founder of the start up company, I was tasked with creating the first official logo mark for the new film production company, Familiar Strangers. In our dealings, he informed me that he had been working with designers for nearly two years, trying to get his vision right but couldn’t attain it. Then he brought me on to the project. The films he wanted to produce under this company were said to be similar to films produced by A24 and Neon, artistic character studies with complex stories rather than your average blockbuster. He described them as having mystery with a noir style. I first tried to achieve his original vision for the logo, but in the end we achieved a different solution that better suit his brand goals.
